Start Time: Sunday 10th July 2022. Meet at 09.45 am for 10.00 am start.
Start and Finish: Ashridge Estate NT Car Park (parking is free) – postcode HP4 1LT. Toilets and café available (National Trust and usually busy).
A delightful Chilterns walk with some steep climbs. We visit the picturesque village of Aldbury and can expect some outstanding views from Pitstone Hill and Ivinghoe Beacon.
Difficulty: Moderate – 9 miles. Shorter walk available (approx. 5.5 miles). Leave car at car park GR 965 160, postcode LU6 2EG, near Ivinghoe Beacon.

Getting there from Aylesbury : Approx 12 miles:Take A41 to Tring (just past) then A4251 past Cow Roast, turn left onto B4506 and follow to start (approx 3 miles).
Getting There from Oxford : Approx 34 miles: Take A40 then A418 to Aylesbury then follow A41 as above.
Waypoints: Start– From Bridgewater monument take FP downhill to Ashridge. Through village past church then FP rt to join Ridgeway 952 131 – follow to Ivinghoe Beacon. Down Gallows Hill then FP right to 915 162. FP left towards Hurst farm 974 153. Cross road to Duncombe Terrace 969 147 and follow to monument – Finish
